A reliable creative partner for small to medium-sized businesses and nonprofits.

What I Do

My work ranges from small one-off design projects to comprehensive communications strategy projects. Monthly retainers work well for clients who need ongoing design support.

How I Work

I work as a freelancer and hire trusted subcontractors depending on the scope of your project.

My network of creative partners is always growing, get it touch if you’d like to collaborate.

About Me

I started designing, writing, and leading communications strategy in high school as Editor of my school newspaper.

I will always be grateful for the new iMacs, Adobe Creative Suite, and leadership opportunities available to me in my high school journalism program.

Johnston, Iowa 2007-2010

At the University of Iowa, I studied Journalism and Graphic Design and worked as a designer at The Daily Iowan.

I met my husband Eric in the newsroom, he was a reporter.

Iowa City, Iowa 2010-2013

Out of college, I took a position as Marketing Director at a private school.

Annual marketing plans that I crafted and executed boosted enrollment, elevated brand recognition in the community, and increased fundraising. It was rewarding to be a part of that tight-knit community.

2013-2015

In 2015, I moved to Portland, Oregon and directed communications for a nonprofit doing anti-human trafficking work in Indonesia.

My role allowed me to lead media teams to Indonesia, compile all fundraising materials, overhaul the website, and design a large-scale exhibit for events. It was incredibly meaningful work.

2015-2018

In 2018, I had enough contract work coming in that I decided to transition to full time freelance work. In 2020, I filed my LLC and my client list continues to grow. Each day is different, and every client is unique. It is a privilege to work with so many wonderful organizations and partners.
